Regarding applying lemon to hair, lemon juice is acidic and has bleaching properties. When applied to hair and then exposed to sunlight, it can naturally lighten hair over time. However, lemon juice can be extremely drying so I recommend diluting as follows: Mix 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice with 1 large cup of distilled water. Add in 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. This will help impart shine as well. Shampoo hair as usual then rinse your hair with the mixture. Leave for up to an hour in the sun then rinse out with water followed by your deep conditioner. Repeat daily for up 3 - 4 weeks.
